Pretreatment

Pretreatment is a series of processing steps before oil extraction, which is called oil pretreatment. The basic process includes: cleaning, shelling/peeling, crushing/softening/flaking, cooking/expansion, etc. Its purpose is to remove various impurities in the oil seeds and adjust the moisture and temperature of the oil seeds to facilitate the oil press/solvent extraction section. Depending on the type of oil seeds, the pretreatment processes and methods selected are also different.

The oil pretreatment process is related to the oil seeds type:

Sunflower seeds: Cleaning, Shelling, Crushing/Flaking, Cooking

Soybeans: Cleaning, Crushing, Softening, Flaking (Expansion)

Peanuts: Cleaning (Shelling), Crushing/Flaking, Cooking

Rice bran: Cleaning (Rice bran and tip separation), Softening, Expansion

Cottonseed: Cleaning, Shelling, Flaking, Expansion

Rapeseed: Cleaning, Softening, Flaking, Cooking

The related equipment in Oil Pretreatment Plant:

Cleaning equipment: cleaning screen, specific-gravity stoner, magnetic separator

Shelling/Peeling: 1. shelling machine (disc/roller/centrifugal) for sunflower seeds/cotton seeds

                            2. Peeling for soybean: conditioning/drying/aspiration/screening series equipment 

Crushing/Softening/Flaking: crusher, softening pot/tower, flaking machine

Cooking/Expansion: cooker, extruder

The design of the pretreatment process fully considers energy saving and environmental protection: controlling dust emissions, recovering heat energy, reducing production energy consumption, etc. The efficient integration of technology and automation reduces customer labor input and improves product indicators and stability.
