Because the oil content of rice bran is low, about 15-20%, it generally not extract the oil by oil press. Rice bran oil is extracted by expander and extraction, and then the crude rice bran oil is refined and dewaxed to obtain the finished oil. Therefore, the rice bran oil production line includes four sections: rice bran pretreatment machine, rice bran oil solvent extraction plant, rice bran oil refinery plant and rice bran oil dewaxing machine.

The purchased rice bran contains about 3 to 5% rice bran and broken rice. Firstly these impurities are cleaned up with bran separation screen. The impurities in rice bran are removed through screening; the cleaned rice bran enters the conditioner, and a small amount of steam (about 2% of rice bran amount) is introduced into rice bran to adjust its temperature and moisture to a state suitable for expansion. 

Then it enters the expander, which can change the porosity inside the rice bran, change its internal structure into a soft and porous structure, and improve the permeability and extraction efficiency of rice bran. After the expansion rice bran is dried and cooled, it can directly enter the rice bran oil solvent extraction plant to obtain crude rice bran oil.

After rice bran pretreatment, it directly enters the rice bran oil solvent extraction plant to obtain crude rice bran oil.

Warm reminder: Rice bran is easy to rancidity and deterioration. The rice bran needs to be pre-treated immediately after being recovered from the rice mill to extend the storage time.
